                                                  Online non-contact laser thickness gauge
I. Overview
Online non-contact laser thickness gauge has the characteristics of fast measurement speed, high accuracy, and non-contact measurement. Widely used for online thickness measurement and control of various steel strips, steel plates, aluminum plates, aluminum foils, copper plates, copper foils, wooden boards, food, various rubber sheets, rubber films, plastic sheets, fabrics and other transparent and non transparent strip and sheet products.

2、 Measurement principle
The laser thickness gauge is composed of two opposing sensors. During operation, the upper and lower sensors measure the distance between the sensor and the upper and lower surfaces of the object being measured. The thickness of the object being measured is obtained by subtracting the distance measured by the two sensors from the total distance between the two sensors. The advantage of laser thickness gauge is that it is a non-contact measurement that does not lose accuracy due to wear and tear, especially suitable for measuring moving objects.
The schematic diagram of the measurement principle is as follows:

Explanation: L is the distance between two sensors, A is the distance between the upper sensor and the object being measured, B is the distance between the lower sensor and the object being measured, and the thickness of the object being measured t=L - (A+B).
